Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
1. Who we are
StaConPic is a construction photo app made by HealthLife Solutions, LLC ("we", "us"), a Florida limited liability company. This policy explains what the StaConPic app and its online service collect, why, and who can see it.
StaConPic is used by companies and their teams. Your company (the "team") decides who joins, which projects exist and what is asked about each photo. The photos and details you take belong to your team. We store them and keep them secure on the team's behalf; we don't sell them or use them for advertising.
This policy covers the Android and iPhone apps and any StaConPic website. It does not cover other apps or sites you open from StaConPic, such as email or file-sharing apps.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what the app needs to take, stamp, store and share inspection photos. We don't use advertising, analytics or crash-tracking services.
| Information | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | You, when you sign in | To send sign-in codes and identify you on your team |
| Name | You, in Settings | Shown on your photos and to your team |
| Team and role (Manager or Inspector) | Your team's Managers | To decide what you can see and change |
| Photos (stamped copy, original and thumbnail) | Your phone's camera | The main purpose of the app |
| Photo location: latitude, longitude, GPS accuracy, elevation | Your phone's GPS, only while the camera screen is open | Printed on the photo and used for station, offset and the map |
| Camera direction and phone orientation | Your phone's compass and motion sensors, while the camera screen is open | Printed on the photo and shown on the map |
| Date, time and time zone of each photo | Your phone | Printed on the photo and used for filters |
| Comments, dropdown and checkbox answers | You | Your team's photo details |
| Edit and delete history (who, when) | The app | So your team can see who changed a photo |
| Project files, such as KMZ / KML alignments | Your team's Managers | To work out stations and offsets |
| Basic technical data: IP address, app version, request times | Sent automatically when the app connects | To deliver the service, app updates and maps, and to keep it secure |
We do not track your location in the background or when the camera screen is closed.
3. Who can see your information
Only people on your team, and only what their role allows. Nobody outside your team sees your photos unless someone on your team shares them.
| Who | What they can see |
|---|---|
| Inspectors on your team | The team's photos and details, team member names, the team's projects |
| Managers on your team | Everything Inspectors see, plus team email addresses, deleted photos in the recycle bin and edit history |
| People a team member shares with | Only the photos or export files that were shared, through a link that stops working after 7 days or a file sent outside the app |
| Us | Only when needed to run, support or secure the service, or when the law requires it |
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect people's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
4. Service providers
We use a few companies to run StaConPic. They process information only to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, photo storage and sign-in, hosted in the United States (Amazon Web Services, US East) | All the information in section 2 |
| Expo | Delivers app updates | App version and technical data, no photos |
| OpenFreeMap | Map images for the photo map | The map area being viewed and your IP address, no photos |
| Resend | Sends sign-in code emails | Your email address and the code |
| Google Play and Apple App Store | Distribute the app | Handled under their own privacy policies |
Your information is stored and processed in the United States.
5. Phone permissions
The app asks for each permission when it first needs it. You can turn any of them off in your phone's settings; the matching feature stops working.
| Permission | Used for | If you turn it off |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Taking inspection photos | You can't take photos in the app |
| Location (while using the app) | Recording where each photo was taken | Photos have no location, station or map pin |
| Motion sensors | Recording which way the camera points | Photos have no camera direction |
| Photos and media | Saving copies to your phone's gallery, if you turn that on in Settings | Copies aren't saved to your gallery |
| Files | Picking alignment files and an export folder | You can't import alignments or save exports to a folder |
The app never records audio or video.
6. How long we keep data, and deleting your account
We keep your team's photos and details for as long as the team uses StaConPic, because they are often project records the company must keep.
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Photos and details | Until your team deletes them or closes its account |
| Deleted photos (recycle bin) | 30 days, then removed for good |
| Shared export files and links | 7 days |
| Your account (email, name) | Until you or your team removes it |
| Copies on your phone | Until you delete them or uninstall the app |
| Server logs | A short time, as kept by our providers |
| After a team closes its account | 90 days, so the team can export its photos, then deleted |
Deleting your account
- In the app: Settings → Delete account.
- Or email support@staconpic.com from the address you sign in with. See Delete your account for details.
We delete your account within 30 days. Photos you took for your team stay with the team, because they are the company's project records; your name stays on photos already stamped. A Manager can delete those photos, or you can ask your team to.
If you leave a team, its Managers remove you and you lose access to its photos right away.
7. Security, children, your rights and contact
Security. Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our providers' security controls. Each team can only reach its own data, and sign-in uses one-time email codes or a password you choose, which is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children. StaConPic is a work tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, download or delete your personal information. To ask, email support@staconpic.com. Because your team controls its photos, we may pass photo requests to your team's Managers. We won't treat you differently for making a request.
Changes. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
